Program-Modified CARS

CAR Options

• Either the original or enhanced CAR will continue to be used for all Tri-Modal, M/GE and M/LL
• However, Program Coordinators may designate any non Tri-Modal, M/GE or M/LL courses for the development of Program-Modified CARs

Program-Modified CARs

• Program-Modified CARs will maintain the 2 Categories (e.g. Critical Thinking & Effective Communication) that are tied directly to the university Mission Statement.
• Program-Modified CARs will also maintain the same number of Competencies (e.g. 8) but the Enhanced CAR Competencies will serve as Default rather than required ones
• As a result, specific CAR Competencies may be decided upon on the program/course level.
• Outcomes/Operational Definitions, as always, will continue to be developed at the course level and each one must be completed with a measurable descriptor.
