Erik Bergrud, M.P.A. '94, director of the International Center for Civic Engagement and special assistant to the president for University projects on civic engagement at Park, was chosen to participate in the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce's Centurions Leadership Program.  One of 39 participants selected for the program in 2007, Bergrud will spend two years exploring opportunities and issues in the Kansas City area.  He also was elected second vice president for the International Relations Council; he will become IRC president in January 2010.  In addition, he accepted a nomination to serve as vice chair for the American Society for Public Administration's Section for Certified Public Management.
