Park University

The Missouri Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (MACTE) recently named Park University graduates Marla Asberry, '03, and Mary Laughlin Combs, '04, as Outstanding Beginning Teachers.

Every two years, MACTE invites each education school or department to nominate two graduates who are in their first two years of teaching for the Outstanding Beginning Teacher. Park University selected Asberry, a first grade teacher at Glendale Elementary in Independence, Mo., and Combs, a teacher at Line Creek Elementary in Park Hill. They will be recognized at the MACTE spring meeting on Apr. 29 in Jefferson City, Mo.
