The Park University Music Program will present the Regional Artist Showcase on Friday, Apr. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel at the Park University campus in Parkville, Mo.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The showcase recognizes and promotes college and university music talent by offering prizes and performance opportunities. It acts as a venue to present exceptional students to audiences in the Parkville and Kansas City areas.
The showcase will feature Rebecca Ashe, flute, University of Missouri at Kansas City Conservatory of Music; Melanie Hadley, piano, University of Kansas; Aleksandr Snytkin, violin, University of Kansas; Jay Carter, counter-tenor, William Jewell College; and the Fountain City Trio (Herin Cho, violin; Jeremy Harman, cello; and Alice Demske, piano).
Representing the brightest talent studying music at colleges and universities within a 250 mile radius of Parkville, Mo., these fine musicians were chosen from an audition process that was concluded on Jan. 20.
