The Park University Music Program presents a
faculty recital by Timothy Corrao, harpsichord, on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. in
the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel at the Parkville, Mo. campus.
The performance will feature works by Couperin, J.S. Bach, and C.P.E. Bach. The
concert is free and open to the public.
Corrao is in his 22 year at Park University where he holds the position of
artist-in-residence. Active as both a performer and composer, he has appeared as
a recitalist and chamber musician throughout the Midwest and in New York City.
His performance credits include collaborations with members of the Cleveland
Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Kansas City Symphony, as well
as with flutist Ronda Benson Ford and pianist Tim Hays. Corrao also composed
chamber and orchestral works including a recently-completed Barcarola Notturna
for internationally-acclaimed pianist Aldo Mancinelli. Two of his choral
compositions are scheduled for publication later this year by Amber Waves Music
in Kansas City.
