Stuart Speer is a personal financial planner who has been in private practice since 1987. He is a serious student of finance and a concerned observer of the excesses of financial systems and institutions.
Speer's presentations are fast paced and exciting. While he is never glib, he does bring humor and perspective to seemingly intractable problems. He engages and involves his audiences in addressing many of the forgotten or underserved issues of our day.
His speeches include:
- "Investing for Income"
- "Schemes, Scams and Scoundrels" (investment fraud and how to avoid it)
- "Socially Responsible Investment" (review of domestic and foreign investment opportunities inline with sustainable development and generally accepted standards of social justice)
- "Some Notes on the Investment Outlook" (continuously updated prospective on financial trends and their likely effect of equity and bond prices)
- "They're All In It Together" (how insiders profit on the naivety of the public, and how to avoid becoming one of their victims)
- "Everything You Need to Know About Money" (Light-hearted review of money, what it is, how it works, and how one may acquire it.)
- "Capitalism and Sustainable Development" (Western economic systems often seem bent on the destruction of the natural world. Is capitalism capable of producing prosperity without exploiting the world into environmental bankruptcy? This presentation poses serious questions about the near future of the American economic and social order.)
