Janice L. Gordon is a member of Park's graduate adjunct faculty at the Hauptmann School of Public Affairs. She teaches both face-to-face and Online.

Gordon earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii and her Master of Public Affairs degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Recently, she participated in the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

A simple philosophy guides Gordon in her speaking engagements: a presenter should "give something to everyone listening and take something back for himself." She is an expert in the areas of program evaluation, government partnerships, outcomes-based management, the benefits of parks and recreation, and recreation trends. She is qualified to speak on diversity and inclusion issues, having received training from "Harmony."  Presently she serves on Kansas City's diversity team and on the diversity committee of the Missouri Parks and Recreation Association.
