NEWS RELEASE

Jody Manchion
Following an exhaustive national search for a new registrar, Park University found the person to serve in that capacity was already on its staff. Jody Manchion, who has served as interim registrar at Park since October 2011, was promoted to the position, effective April 11.

Manchion, a Kansas City, Mo., resident and 1999 Park graduate, has been with Park since 1992. Since 1999, with the exception of a one-year stint as an academic adviser (2006-07), she served as assistant registrar. She began her career at Park as an academic evaluator (1992-99).

"Jody brings a wealth of knowledge about the
Registrar's Office, as well as the intricacies of Park University," said Dan Donaldson, Ph.D., assistant vice president for academic affairs. "Her skills will be instrumental as the Registrar's Office evolves to meet the needs of this complex institution."

In her new capacity, Manchion will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the
Registrar's Office. Among her duties include implementing efficient processes and procedures that ensure accuracy and integrity of student data and records; overseeing areas such as student registration, graduation, NAIA eligibility, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act compliance, course scheduling and the undergraduate and graduate catalogs; and providing support in developing and maintaining effective linkages between the registrar's function and other functional areas.
