Ralph Reid
Sprint Nextel Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility Ralph Reid will speak at Park University's fall commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Community of Christ Auditorium, located at 1001 West Walnut Street in Independence, Mo.

During the ceremony, Park University will award graduate and undergraduate degrees to 380 students.

Reid oversees Sprint's community relations, employee volunteerism, and corporate diversity and inclusion. He also directs Sprint's philanthropic activities as executive director of the Sprint Foundation.

Prior to joining the Corporate Social Responsibility Department in 2003, Reid led Sprint's Emerging Leadership Programs. In this role, he was responsible for designing, developing and leading accelerated developmental programs for Sprint managers and executives. During his 23-year career with Sprint, he has held a wide range of financial and operations management positions with the company.

Reid is currently president of the Kansas City Downtown Minority Development Corporation Board of Directors, and vice president of the Kansas City United Community Action Agency Board of Directors. He also serves on the Boards of Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, Kansas City Repetory Theater, Heart of America United Way, Greater KC Urban League, Oakwood College Board of Trustees, and is an Advisory Board member of the DeLaSalle Education Center.
