The Quartet Accorda will present a concert on Friday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Park University's Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel in Parkville, Mo.
The Quartet Accorda, composed of Kanako Ito (violin), Chung-Hoon Peter Chun (viola), Martin Storey (cello) and Ben Sayevich (violin), established its residence at Park University beginning fall 2005.
In 2001, the group made its official debut to great critical acclaim, establishing itself as one of the premiere string quartets in the region. The unique feature of the Quartet Accorda is the blend of varied musical traditions and ethnic backgrounds that each member brings to the group. The performers represent many different nationalities, including Japanese, Russian-Israeli, Korean and British.
The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.park.edu/ata.
