Park University

Park University faculty members Tim Gabor, Ph.D., associate professor and chair of the biology department, and Carol Sanders, Ph.D., associate professor of biology, received a $10,500 research grant from the Brush Creek Mid-Shed Project of the Platte Land Trust.

The funds come from the Department of Natural Resources and will be used to purchase equipment to perform research on the stream flow in Brush Creek from approximately Hwy 152 to Hwy 45 in Kansas City, Mo.

The equipment will remain in the Park University biology department and study monies will also provide scholarships for three-hour research courses for two students to perform data collection and analysis.

Sanders is a member of the Brush Creek Mid-Shed Steering Committee and the Technical Advisory Committee.
