Park University

Park University remains a trusted educational resource in the Kansas City area-a fact distinctly proven by the stamp of highest endorsement it recently received from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The HLC recently notified the University that they have granted Park a 10-year accreditation-the top level of approval for an institution of higher learning.

In addition, the HLC authorized the University to add, without seeking Commission approval, new Master's degree programs in any area where the University offers baccalaureate degrees. Park currently offers Master's degree programs in public affairs, education, business administration and communications.

"We are pleased that the HLC has affirmed the quality of our academic programs by awarding us the 10-year accreditation and granting us this flexibility in which to continue to build our graduate programs," said Park President Beverley Byers-Pevitts, Ph.D.

The HLC report also gave the University approval to add campuses at military installations as approved by the appropriate agencies, and to offer additional off-campus academic programs without prior Commission approval.

Park University, a not-for-profit and private institution that offers associates, bachelors and masters programs, is slated for its next comprehensive evaluation by the HLC in 2015.
