The International Center for Music at Park University will present a recital Friday, May 30, by pianist Tatiana Tessman, featuring the work of Brahms and Gershwin. The performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel on Park University's Parkville Campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

Tessman, a student at the International Center for Music, has performed as a soloist with orchestras and in recitals across Russia, Germany, Italy, Latin America and the U.S. She frequently collaborates with renowned Russian conductors, including Vladimir Ponkin, Alexander Skulsky, Murad Annamamedov and Mark Kadin.

Tessman, who was born in Omsk, Russia, started playing in public soon after her first piano lessons at the age of 4. She began studying with Stanislav Ioudenitch in the ICM in 2005.

Tessman has performed in New York on WQXR radio station and, as the winner of the Missouri International Piano Competition, she gave a solo recital at Carnegie Weill Hall in 2006. In 2007, she made her recital concert debut at Alice Tully Hall.
