Four Park University seniors who will graduate this spring with fine art degrees will show their work in public exhibits during May.

The Park University Senior Fine Art Exhibit opened with the work of Anna Mandina, currently on display through May 7 at the Campanella Gallery on the University's Parkville Campus. A reception is set for 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 2.

Heather Cook's paintings, drawings and fiber arts will be on display at the Campanella Gallery May 9 through May 18, with a reception 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9. Nan Schooling's work will go on display at the Campanella Gallery May 20 and run through May 30, with a reception 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 24. Artwork by Pearl Chamberlin will be on display May 24 through June 21 at Northland Neighborhood Inc., 3015 NE Vivion Rd. in Kansas City, Mo., with a reception from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 24.

"My favorite subject to paint is fish with their beautiful, vibrant colors," said Cook. "In addition to the colors, I like my paintings to reflect a sense of movement. The fish look as if they are streaking through the water."

The Campanella Gallery is located in the McAfee Memorial Library in Park's underground Mabee Learning Center, which can be entered through Millsap Foyer. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 4 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
