Park University announces the implementation of eCollege Content Manager to support the institution's commitment to maintaining a high standard of excellence for learning in all Park University's classrooms, regardless of location or delivery method.

Park chose eCollege Content Manager for its unique ability to support the University's comprehensive curriculum. The new content management functionality will be added to all Park University Online and eCompanion course sites during the summer 2005.

"Given the magnitude and growth of our Online programs, we needed a way to manage our curricular content more efficiently," said Gary Heisserer, Ph.D., assistant vice president for Academic Affairs at Park University. "eCollege Content Manager responds to our needs by providing a centralized and flexible content repository. Content Manager will help us ensure the quality and consistency of our Online and face-to-face courses and will enhance student learning, student satisfaction, and overall program quality."

The addition of the content manager technology supports Park's goals that are mapped out in its strategic plan Explorations and Transformations 2012: Access to Excellence. eCollege Content Manager will help create, manage and deliver a "one university" curriculum to all student learners attending Park's 41 Campus Centers throughout the nation and Online.

Content Manager, which will be enabled via the eCollege Online Learning Platform, will allow those charged with curricular development and oversight to:

- Provide each department with the capability to implement their desired level of curricular oversight, creating the right balance in each discipline between instructor customization and ensuring that a consistent, high-quality core curriculum is presented to all learners.
- Efficiently update departmentally-approved content in all relevant courses (i.e. learning outcome, approved texts) with a single step.
- Allow departments and Online course developers to provide optional content such as a case studies, readings or quizzes for instructors to utilize in their courses as desired.

Content Manager also enables instructors to create and categorize content to be stored in a personal repository for use in Online or eCompanion course sites. This content (e.g. faculty bio, PowerPoint lectures, quizzes) can then be searched and easily shared between course sections and from term to term.

In April 2004, Park University selected eCollege(SM) for the institution's enterprise-wide use of eLearning technology for all Online and on-campus programs. eCollege [Nasdaq: ECLG] is a leading provider of value-added information services to the post-secondary education market.
