Brian Cowley, Ph.D., is an associate professor of psychology at Park University. He designs his presentations to accommodate his audiences. For example, when presenting to an audience of people with developmental disabilities, he focused on teaching social skills through interaction. He brought Hoola-Hoops and had each person stand inside the hoop. The group then discussed personal space and Dr. Cowley had them practice talking to each other.
