Thomas Peterman, Ph.D., is currently Vice President for Distance Learning at Park University in Parkville, Mo. He has served in this position since 1996. His current responsibilities include development, promotion, and marketing of the College for Distance Learning - School for Extended Learning and School for Online Learning.

Peterman graduated with a Ph.D. in Instructional Development and Technology from Michigan State University. He also earned masters degrees from Eastern Michigan University (Classroom Teaching) and the University of Missouri-Columbia (Library Science)

Prior to accepting his current responsibilities, Peterman served Park University as Director of Library Systems for more than five years. Before coming to Park he served as Communication Division Director for a multi-national organization for seven years where he was responsible for video production, graphic design and photo production and public relations. He has also taught various topics at various levels - elementary school through college.
