Barabara Fields, Ph.D., is a retired elementary principal and has 35 years of service in the education field. She currently is an adjunct faculty at Park University and instructs the Issues in Diversity course and teaches as needed for the graduate school evening classes.

Fields enjoys talking to others about issues in education today. As a presenter, she speaks for 35-45 minutes and then answers questions to finish in an hour. She is prepared to present on short notice. 

Many of her presentations include the following topics:

  • What do schools mean by The Theory of Multiple Intelligences?
  • Charter Schools-What are they?
  • What do educators mean when they speak of Higher Order Thinking Skills?  Do you really have to be taught to think?
  • What is Multicultural Education?
  • How are today's assessments different from the tests I took in school?
