NEWS RELEASE

Park University continues to hold down the top spot as the No. 1 ranked value among private universities/colleges in the United States, according to Parents & Colleges, an online resource for parents of college-bound students. Park has been ranked No. 1 in the category "Top 10 Best Value Private Colleges and Universities" since the summer of 2010.

According to Parents & Colleges, which recently released updated rankings, institutions included on this list offer a diversity of degrees, have affordable tuitions and/or offer generous financial aid, and report the highest SAT or ACT scores for incoming classes. Park was cited as offering "both proximity to big-city excitement and the safe, relaxed atmosphere of a small town. The 1,700-strong undergraduate student body at the Parkville Campus represents all 50 states and more than 100 countries, and the school prides itself on its diversity and global outlook. Tuition for full-time undergraduates is a fraction of other private institutions (and is lower than many public schools), and average class size and student-to-faculty ratio are low."

Park President Michael H. Droge, Ph.D., said Park is proud to retain the top ranking, which coincides with the University's strategic plan, Park’s Promise.

"Park's ongoing commitment to maintain affordable tuition with academic excellence is gaining notable attention from parents and students nationwide," Droge said. "This prestigious recognition also underscores Park's Promise to serve those who serve their community and country with personalized, globally-relevant education for life."
