- The School of Business held a dynamic Public-Private Symposium on November 4. This symposium demonstrated how local and state governments can benefit from public-private partnership options. - Park is hosting a concert at the Folly Theatre on December 11 to benefit the University's International Center for Music. This fundraising event will highlight the exceptional talent of the Park Piano Trio. - It is with gratitude that I share with you that the Park University Board of Trustees unanimously voted to change my title from "Interim President" to "President" at their October board meeting. - On October 23, Park University received The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching certificate from The Carnegie Foundation. Fewer than 100 of these prestigious certificates have been issued in the past ten years. - I continue to meet with community leaders in the Kansas City area and at our extended Campus Center locations. The conversations have been helpful and invigorating as many doors of opportunity have been opened to develop, community/educational partnerships. - In the past few months, Park University has been recognized by several organizations and publications as a "military friendly" institution. This is recognition we take great pride in receiving. We deeply appreciate the brave men and women (which include many Park students and alumni) who are currently serving or have served in the U.S. Military. As we advance toward Thanksgiving Day, I extend best wishes to you and your family for a meaningful and enjoyable holiday. |
