Park University was recently named to the Top 100 list by The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education for bachelor's degrees awarded to Hispanics.

In its May 4 issue, the magazine published lists of the top 100 four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. that conferred the most bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees on Hispanic students. Park University is ranked 62nd on the Top 100 bachelor's degree list with 379 degrees awarded.

The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education said it compiled the lists using data from the U.S. Department of Education's Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System program. The figures are from July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008.

According to the magazine's introduction to the lists, total bachelor degrees's awarded to Hispancis by the Top 100 are up 10 percent, around 6,000 students, over those of the previous year.

Ten years ago, The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education’s Top 100 lists included schools from 20 states and the District of Columbia. This year, the lists include 28 states plus Washington, D.C., according to the article.
