McVicker has article on educational research published in journal
Claudia McVicker, Ph.D., assistant professor of literacy education, recently had an article published in the International Reading Association's Illinois State Journal. In "Inquiring Illinois Teachers Want to Know: Action Research Questions from the Field," McVicker asserts that professors conducting educational research on college campuses should be privy to the action research inquiries of practicing teachers. She states if the legions of university researchers are able to regularly read reports of action research stories by teacher researchers, they would find questions worthy of empirical research. In turn, it would be research that would resonate with teachers in the field. At the end of the day, empirical educational research would answer questions that inquiring teachers want to know, according to McVicker.
